Kent Jespersen
Mr. Jespersen, CPCU, CLU, is assistant vice president - Property and Casualty Underwriting at State Farm® Corporate Headquarters in Bloomington, Ill. Jespersen joined State Farm in 1978 as an auto underwriter in the Lincoln, Neb., office. He transferred to the Jacksonville, Fla., office as a personal lines underwriter in 1982, where he was promoted to underwriting operations supervisor in 1985 and underwriting operations superintendent in 1989. He was selected as underwriting operations superintendent in the Duluth, Ga., office, which opened in 1991, and was named operations manager in the Wayne, NJ, office in 1993. He was promoted to director - Fire General Underwriting at Corporate Headquarters in 1998 and assistant vice president - Fire General Underwriting in 1999. Jespersen received a bachelor's degree in management from Buena Vista University, Storm Lake, Iowa. He earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1984 and the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1989. He is a board member of the Federal Alliance of Safe Homes (FLASH) and represents the company on various committees of the Institute for Business and Home Safety.
