About the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation
Fire Service Survivor Support Consortium

Each year, dozens of families are devastated by the death of a firefighter. Many fire service support organizations throughout the U.S. may try to offer assistance to the families and co-workers of the fallen. Unfortunately, not all provide the level of support that is needed, and necessary funds may not be directed appropriately to the survivors.

To address this issue, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is forming a Fire Service Survivor Support Consortium to assist the public in deciphering which of these organizations are most worthy of their support. Only those organizations that have displayed good fiscal management and transparency will be included in the Consortium.

The Fire Service Survivor Support Consortium is a member-based network committed to advocating, assisting and supporting the families and co-workers of America's fallen firefighters. As an active member of the Consortium your organization can "co-brand" with the NFFF to demonstrate this alliance. Members will have direct input to the Consortium's efforts and your organization will be recognized on the Foundation's website with a link to your site.
