National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to Partner With Baskin-Robbins for the Fourth Annual 31 Cent Scoop Night

We are pleased to announce that the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) will be Baskin-Robbins 2010 charitable partner for the fourth annual 31 Cent Scoop Night.

On Wednesday, April 28,2010, Baskin-Robbins shops across the country will host 31 Cent Scoop Night, from 5:00 pm-10:00 pm. Baskin-Robbins franchisees will reduce prices of ice cream to 31 cents to honor America's firefighters and create an opportunity for consumers to donate to local fire charities. Last year's event was a huge success with more than 600 fire stations and fire service organizations participating in the event to raise money and awareness for local fire programs. We need your help to make this night even more successful and help more fire organizations.

On a national level, Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation will make a $100,000 donation to NFFF to mark the event and reinforce its commitment to the firefighting community. Read more about our programs at www.firehero.org.

At a local level, Baskin-Robbins franchisees would like to help raise money for YOUR local fire service organization. The 31 Cent Scoop Night event, at participating Baskin-Robbins locations nationwide, can support your fire service organization, but we need your involvement. To learn more go to www.baskinrobbins.com/firefighter.

Baskin-Robbins franchisees are inviting local firefighters to their stores on Wednesday, April 28. Involvement at a local Baskin-Robbins store could include any or all of the following:

  • Presence of firefighters from your station collecting money that will directly go to your fire house or for National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
  • Firefighters scooping ice cream at Baskin-Robbins (any time spent helping out will be appreciated).
  • Provide fire safety tips to local families and children as they wait in line for ice cream.
  • Firefighters taking photos with families and children in front of the store with your fire truck.

Your local Baskin-Robbins franchisee will be reaching out to arrange to have representatives from your organization at their store on Wednesday, April 28. We encourage you to contact franchisees as well. If you would like to participate, please visit www.baskinrobbins.com/firefighter or send an email indicating your interest to baskinrobbins@schneiderpr.com

We hope you will help us spread the word to your firefighters and to the local community to help make this event a success.
