On Sunday, July 18, some very patriotic Americans placed a wreath at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial. A group of remarkable veterans stopped by during their bicycle ride that began in San Francisco, CA, in May and will end at Virginia Beach, VA. They left Chambersburg, PA, that morning and traveled to Emmitsburg via Gettysburg and Fairfield, PA. The "Sea to Shining Sea" ride, sponsored by State Farm Insurance and supported by the nonprofit organization, World T.E.A.M. Sports, pays tribute to our military and proves that Americans disabled in war can accomplish great feats. A group of enthusiastic State Farm agents and volunteers greeted the vets and provided food and refreshment. The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and National Emergency Training Center were proud to host these veterans, and we thank them for their dedicated service to our country.
