The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation provides a number of programs and resources for the fire service. We help departments deal with the tragedy of losing a firefighter in the line-of-duty.
Fire Department Programs and Training:
- Everyone Goes Home® - Firefighter Life Safety Initiatives Program was developed to help the U.S. Fire Administration achieve its objective of reducing the number of preventable firefighter fatalities.
- Taking Care of Our Own®
This one-day training program covers pre-incident planning, survivor notification, family and co-worker support, and benefits and resources available to the families.
- Chief-to-Chief Network
The Foundation has a network of senior fire officers who have one thing in common. They have all experienced the death of a firefighter in the line-of-duty and understand what a department goes through.
- Local Assistance State Teams
Local Assistance State Teams are local groups that will assist you in dealing with a line-of-duty death in your department.
